The Number Plates:

If we’re honest, number plates aren’t something that we spend a lot of time thinking about! But, surprisingly perhaps, the way UK number plates are made is subject to some of the strictest standards in Europe, all of which are governed by law. Number plates must pass 9 stringent tests to meet the current standard BS AU 145d. In January 2021 a new tougher standard, BS AU 145e, will be introduced.
